About us
We are Samantha & Dan Kaatz, husband and wife co-owners of Pennycress Studio. We grow flowers for weddings, events, and workshops on our 2-acre farm in Viroqua, from which we also run our floral design studio.
We met working at a French cafe in Madison and have been enjoying cooking and eating together ever since. Our shared European sensibilities have led us to a bucolic life in the driftless, plucked from the busyness of the big city. If you happened on our life on any given day, you'd find a satisfying mixture of mirth, steady work, leisurely breaks with baguette and coffee, and a corpulent cat named Peter, who frolics around the farm with us.
We are passionate about regenerative farming and the local flower movement, and would love nothing more than to serve you with the freshest, most beautiful blooms imaginable.
