Dahlia Tuber Shop
We are so excited to offer a special selection of dahlia tubers for you to plant in your own garden!

All of the below dahlia tubers are lovingly grown on our farm, dug up in the fall, and stored in our cellar throughout the winter months.

We will begin dividing and shipping dahlia tubers in early April

All dahlia tubers will have a viable eye and will be true to variety. Listings represent one (1) dahlia tuber, which produces one dahlia plant that will have several blooms on it. Depending on variety, dahlias typically bloom from late July through first frost (mid-October in zone 4).

When you receive your tuber(s), you may pot them up and grow under lights until last frost, or keep them cool until ready to plant directly in the ground. The ideal storage temperature range is 38-45 degrees, which will keep them in dormancy, and some humidity in the air helps them from drying up - though too much can cause rot, so monitor regularly and adjust the environment accordingly. If the eye on the tuber begins to send up a green sprout before you have had time to plant it (i.e. if it gets too warm) do not fret! It is still plenty viable and will produce a wonderful plant for you once you get it into the ground.

Dahlias can be minorly fussy but don't be afraid to try them! They like compost-rich, well-drained soil and plenty of water throughout the summer, and will be quite happy when provided with these.

Happy planting!
